This very simple brush pot has been turned in cherry. It has been burnished and finally dulled and waxed to give a lovely warm sheen.
I turned the lid of the potpourri bowl in Maple, pierced it with a decorative leaf motif and then turned the base in Cherry to create an interesting contrast between the two woods. Finally, I burnished and waxed the piece to give it a soft mellow finish.
This pretty little trinket box has been turned in spalted beech. The lid has been pierced with two stylized letter Fs. I made this for Freya, one of my granddaughters and regretfully is not for sale and has already been spoken for.
This trio of candlesticks can stand together or be separated. The base has been turned in iroko while the three candlesticks in maple. They take standard taper candles and have a durable melamine finished that has been dulled and waxed.
A pair of asymmetric bud vases turned in Ash. They have been given an acrylic lacquer finish and finally a hard wax has been applied to give a satin sheen. The inserts are glass and removable. They are ideal for that beautiful single stem.
